I lead a team of wound specialist providers providing care in approximately 100 facilities in 13 states, as Chief Medical Officer of WoundCentrics, LLC. Uniquely, we provide care in all healthcare settings, including inpatient acute care, long-term acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, long-term care, and outpatient and home care. Spanning these healthcare domains allows us to serve patients from diagnosis to discharge and gives us unique perspectives on appropriate utilization and cost-containment measures relevant to each domain. In addition to leading a large provider and nursing team, I serve as a Principal Investigator for wound care studies ranging from basic science, to therapeutic and diagnostic methods. I serve as lead faculty for Wound Care University, a worldwide provider of post-graduate education for physicians, APPs, nurses, and other professionals entering the wound care space, or advancing their professional capabilities in wound care. I am very interested in biofilm and its relevance to wound care, and vascular diagnostics and therapeutics related to wound care.
