Daphne is a Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse with 23 years of nursing experience in a variety of clinical settings including community hospitals, post-acute care, outpatient wound clinics, home health, industry and a large teaching institution. Daphne holds the position of Program Chair for the Ostomy Association of Ventura County affiliate of the United Ostomy Association of America. She is also a member of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses’ Society. She previously held positions on the Pacific Coast Region of the WOCN Society as Education Chair and Secretary and now serves on the National Conference Planning Committee of the WOCN Society.

Her nursing career began in Emergency Medicine, however her passion for wound and ostomy care motivated her successful graduation from Cleveland Clinic as a certified Enterostomal Therapist in 2004. She has now been certified as wound, ostomy and continence nurse for 20 years. She advanced her wound care career as the Coordinator of the Wound and Ostomy Program at Community Memorial Hospital where she developed a successful inpatient wound care program and is currently working on leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to develop a robust ostomy program to support patients across the continuum of healthcare.
