Dr Janet Mackenzie is a wound care specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the field and is thrilled to be a part of WoundCon Spring. She is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Mackenzie Wound Care Experts LLC, which provides clinical consulting in wound care, educational programs, and subject matter expertise. Prior to this, she spent 11 years with Vohra Wound Physicians, practicing wound care and leading medical affairs as Chief Medical Officer. During this time, she specialized in wound care in long term care settings. Before this, Dr. Mackenzie practiced wound care and plastic surgery for many years in private practice, hospital and clinic-based settings.

She completed her medical education at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine after obtaining a master’s degree in education at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr Mackenzie trained in general surgery at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and plastic surgery at McGill University. She holds board certification from the American Board of Wound Management, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Academy of General Physicians.
