Dr. Mary Litchford, PhD, RDN, LDN is an internationally recognized speaker, author, and consultant to healthcare organizations. She is president of CASE Software & Books, a professional and educational resource company. She received her PhD in human nutrition from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and MS in public health nutrition from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She has authored numerous referred journal articles, professional reference books, textbook chapters, advanced level CE programs, online programs for healthcare science students and chapters in premier textbooks used in dietetics education programs. Her latest publication is Sharpen Your Edge in Nutrition Focused Physical Exams. She is the past president of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel and served on the Governance Guideline Group for the 2019 edition of the International Clinical Practice Guideline on the Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injuries. She received the Jo Ann Maklebust Lifetime Achievement Award from NPIAP and Excellence in Consultation & Business Practice Award and Distinguished Lecture Award from the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for her contributions to translate nutrition science into real world applications for patients.
