Dr. Kim is Sol and Clara Kest Professor of Dermatology, Vice Chair of Research, Site Chair Mount Sinai West and Morningside, Director of the Mark Lebwohl Center for Neuroinflammation and Sensation, and Director of the Allen Discovery Center for Neuroimmune Interactions at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is a dermatologist and physician-scientist, caring for patients with chronic pruritus and runs a NIH-funded research laboratory. In addition to making fundamental discoveries in neuroimmunology, he has developed patents and designed multiple clinical trials that have led to novel FDA-approved therapeutics for chronic itch conditions.
