After a 10 year career in EMS including several years of teaching prehospital emergency care, Dr. Kasha Bornstein transitioned to becoming a physician alongside pursuing advanced degrees in clinical pharmacology and public health. Dr. Bornstein is currently a chief resident in the combined Internal and Emergency Medicine residency program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bornstein's clinical and research interests include prehospital critical care, medical education, and harm reduction. Dr. Bornstein collaborated on protocol design and education for the prehospital MOUD program at New Orleans EMS and continues to provide continuous quality assessment for the ongoing project.
