Bouvier, serving Fire /EMS since 1975 around New Orleans as a Firefighter, EMT/Paramedic, Deputy Chief of EMS and Fire Chief.

Bouvier, commanded New Orleans major events including Mardi Gras, Super Bowls and Hurricanes and managed the EMS crews and was featured on A&E Television Show NIGHTWATCH.

Bouvier awards include, 1989 NAEMT EMT of the Year, 2008 Rocco Morando Lifetime Achievement and 2019 Louisiana EMS Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Bouvier, Past President of NAEMT, Life-Member Westwego Fire Department, Louisiana Firemen’s Association and NAEMT. Active member Louisiana Fire Chief's & International Fire Chiefs Association.

Bouvier has an extensive educational background in Fire/EMS and has made written contributions in 14 EMS textbooks. Presently serves on the EMS World Editorial Advisory Board since 1998.
