Katie has been involved in emergency care for 20 years in Central Texas and now holds the position of Professor at Austin Community College within the EMSP program. She is also adjunct faculty with ALERRT in San Marcos, TX, and is a small business owner. Katie serves on the Social Media team at ACC. Katie holds Texas certifications in EMS & Fire, various AHA and NAEMT Instructor certifications, IBSC's TP-C, CP-C, WP-C certifications, a BA in Disaster & Emergency Management, and an MBA from Columbia College SC. She will enter the dissertation phase of her PhD in May 2024 at Liberty University.
