Chief Coyle has proudly served with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue since 2004. Prior to being promoted to Division Chief, he served in the roles of EMS Training Captain, Operational Captain, Lieutenant, Paramedic, and Firefighter. Chief Coyle was recognized for his ability and leadership and was assigned to the Training and Safety Division in 2013 to assist with overseeing the creation of new protocols along with developing a paramedic training and testing process from the ground up. He was the only EMS educator in the Training and Safety Division and was responsible for overseeing all EMS training for the department consisting of 1,500 paramedics. This educator position has been filled and now reports directly to Chief Coyle as Division Chief of Medical Services.
