Erik Gaull is a consultant with the National Mass Violence Center. He is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and has been in EMS since becoming an EMT in high school in 1980. Erik is a member of the FirstNet Authority Board, the Secretary of the International Association of Emergency Managers, and a member of the Executive Committee of the DHS Emergency Services Sector Coordinating Council. Erik has an MBA and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BA from Columbia University. He is a reserve officer in the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and a Life Member (and the longest-serving responder) in the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department . In 2017, Erik received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama for his public safety volunteerism.
