Dr. David Rayburn MD MPH is an Associate Professor Clinical Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at Louisiana State University. He serves as the interim Program Director for the LSU Combined Emergency Medicine-Pediatrics residency program. He is also a board certified EMS physician and serves as the Deputy Medical Director for New Orleans EMS and the Medical Director for the Lakefront Regional Airport. His teaching responsibilities include being the Medical Director for the Tulane EMT program. Dr. Rayburn helped to start the POCUS program at New Orleans EMS and create an Advanced Practice Paramedic Program to add additional skills to paramedics who are trained in POCUS and Blood administration. His clinical and research interests include paramedic education, simulation, OHCA, and pre-hospital POCUS.
