Dr. Greiffenstein is board certified surgeon specializing in trauma and surgical critical care at the Norman E. McSwain, Jr. Spirit of Charity Trauma Center in New Orleans. He is a professor of clinical surgery at Louisiana State University Health Science Center where he also serves as Trauma ICU Director and Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. He has extensive research experience with particular interest in the areas of thoracic injury and severe hemorrhagic shock.
