Dr. Ameera Haamid is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine, Assistant Fellowship Director at University of Chicago Medicine, and the Associate EMS Medical Director for Chicago South EMS System. She is the current Co-chair of the NAEMSP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, member of the American Heart Association Science subcommittee DEI Task Force, and member of the National Registry of EMTs Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Task Force. Her career interests lie at the intersection of prehospital care and health equity.
