Kele Ivey, BSN, AAS, RN, SANE-A is a forensic nurse examiner and the SANE Program Manager for the STAR Center at Methodist Hospitals in Gary, IN. Prior to nursing, she worked for over 20 years in EMS in a variety of roles. She holds a BSN from Purdue and an Associates in Paramedicine from Ivy Tech. She is board certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for adults and adolescents (SANE-A) by the International Association of Forensic Nurses and is trained in pediatric and intimate partner violence exams. Kele was the recipient of Methodist Hospitals Humanitarian of the Year 2024 and was Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association's 2024 Up and Coming Influential Woman in Healthcare. She is dedicated to improving care for victims through compassionate and trauma-informed response.
