Kyle J. Kalkwarf, MD, FACS, is an acute care surgeon at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. He completed his surgical residency at UAMS and dual fellowships in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is the Arkansas Chair for the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. He has significantly advanced UAMS's Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP), elevating institutional outcomes to top deciles. He contributes to national surgical education initiatives, including authoring the ACS Surgical Education and Self-Assessment Program (SESAP) modules.
