Dr. Matthew Levy is an academic emergency medicine and EMS physician, medical educator, policy and program implementor, and organizational leader. He holds a full-time appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is the EMS Medical Director for the American Red Cross and an American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council member. He is Chair of the Nonprofit Stop the Bleed Coalition. He also serves as the Paramedic Education Medical Director at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. His EMS career began as an EMS clinician and spans over three decades. He is a veteran EMS and disaster responder and holds multiple EMS Medical Director roles at various levels of government. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Academy of Emergency Medical Services.
