Meg Marino, MD, FAAP, is Director and Medical Director for New Orleans EMS and a pediatric emergency medicine physician. She represents the American Academy of Pediatrics for the Governor’s EMS Certification Committee for the State of Louisiana. In addition to speaking at national and international conferences, she is the founder and course director of the Pediatric Prehospital Educational Symposium that provides pediatric educational opportunities for prehospital providers in Louisiana. While at New Orleans EMS, she has pioneered advances in prehospital blood administration as well as other prehospital initiatives. Dr. Marino has taught and created pediatric prehospital curricula for the Houston Fire Department and Texas Children’s Hospital’s simulation based pediatric prehospital course.
