Candace Pineda has been in the medical field for over 26 years, serving as a registered nurse more than 20 years. She is the Administrative Director of Trauma and Surgery at Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, leading a Florida and ACS national verified Level 1 Trauma Center. Mrs. Pineda oversees the continuum of care for in injured patients in South Florida.
Mrs. Pineda serves as President of the Association of Florida Trauma Program Managers. She is moderator of the Florida Trauma Advisory Council and serves on many local, state, and national trauma, nursing and EMS committees. Mrs. Pineda is a course coordinator for the Advanced Trauma Life Support program and course director for many trauma courses and programs such as PHTLS, TNCC and STB. She has a passion for trauma, prehospital care, teaching and injury prevention.
