Scott Stewart is the Supervisor of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at Hackensack University Medical Center and has been involved within the ventricular assist device world for the past 14 years. He has held various roles from bedside VAD RN to VAD educator and currently runs an MCS service line for acute shock and durable VAD. He has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University. His research focus has been in pre-hospital emergency care as well as acute cardiogenic shock requiring device therapy. He is the co-editor of the first VAD coordinator textbook, A Guide to Mechanical Circulatory Support, and has multiple abstracts and publications within the MCS field. He is currently serving on the board of directors for ICCAC as well as the Chair of the EMS subcommittee.
