Dr. Stephen E. Taylor, Ph.D., Paramedic, FAEMS, is a nationally recognized speaker and has published in multiple journals in EMS. Dr. Taylor is employed by East Carolina University/ECU Health, Emergency Medicine, Brody School of Medicine, Greenville, NC, and is a faculty member for the EMS Fellowship program and mentors medical students and residents interested in EMS research.

His experience has included volunteer EMT, helicopter paramedic, CCEMTP, education, and safety, culminating in his role as Deputy Public Safety Administrator. He is the past President of the Eastern Regional Advisory Council and was the NC Senate appointee to the NC EMS Advisory Council. Dr. Taylor completed his doctorate in health sciences at Liberty University. He remains an active member of NAEMT, the North Carolina EMS Administrators, and a board member of NC-NAEMSP.
