Macara Trusty, MS, LP, SHRM-SCP, is a licensed paramedic with over 30 years of EMS experience and 17 years in leadership. She holds an MS in Management & Leadership and a BS in Business Management. Macara has held diverse roles, from dispatcher to Critical Care Paramedic, and is currently the South Region Director of Leadership Development and Business Optimization at Global Medical Response. A national conference speaker and author, she received the 2021 NAEMT Presidential Leadership Award. She chairs the Texas Governor's EMS & Trauma Advisory Council EMS Education Committee and serves on the Lighthouse Leadership Committee with NAEMT.
