Dr.Venugopal is an assistant professor in the division of Hematology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, and she is focused on clinical translational research in malignant hematology, specifically the development of investigator-initiated clinical trials in patients with myeloid malignancies. She completed her hematolog-oncology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York followed by an advanced fellowship training in leukemia at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. In addition, she obtained her master’s degree at the George Washington University, Washington DC. She is very much interested in designing targeted therapies for the treatment of myeloid malignancies based on a sound mechanistic rationale. She has several first author publications in reputed journals in hematology and is the recipient of the prestigious american society of hematology clinical training research institute award in 2024.
