Dawn B. Beaulieu, MD, IFM-CP, FACP, AGAF is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, with an expertise in the field of inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis) and certified in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has been caring for patients at Vanderbilt since 2009. Dr. Beaulieu was the founding director of the IBD fellowship rotation for adult gastroenterology fellows and for the advanced IBD fellowship at Vanderbilt. Prior to attending medical school, she worked in basic scientific research for 6 years and then 1 year as a clinical trials coordinator. As faculty at VUMC, she has been involved in numerous clinical trials through the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center involved as primary investigator or sub-investigator for multiple pharmaceutical trials and investigator-initiated studies. In 2019, Dr. Beaulieu created the first dedicated Functional Medicine Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinic in the country.
