Jami Kinnucan, M.D. is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) specialist and Senior Associate Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. She has been recognized as a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA. She is active in the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and currently is the Co-Chair for the Women in IBD Task Force and member of the Government and Industry Affairs Committee for the National Scientific Advisory Committee. She is a former ACG governor for Michigan and co-founded the Michigan GI Society in 2020. She currently serves as the Co-Director of Digital Health and Practice Integration for the Department of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Florida and Gastroenterology Practice Chair.

Dr. Kinnucan is nationally known in the field of gastroenterology, in particular her specialization in evaluation and management of patients with IBD. She is known to the Twitter world as @ibdgijami and uses the platform to raise awareness and improve education related to gastroenterology, IBD and promotion of women in medicine and GI. She has a passion for both patient and provider education. She authored articles in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, written several book chapters about IBD diagnostics and treatments. Her most recent research focus has been to evaluate the role for cannabis in the treatment of IBD related symptoms.
