Alexander N. Levy, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Digestive Diseases at Yale University. He also serves as the Program Director for the Yale Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship.

Dr. Levy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center before returning to Boston to finish his Gastroenterology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Levy completed an Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Levy's clinical and research interests include complicated perianal Crohn’s disease, acute severe ulcerative colitis, and complementary therapies in IBD. He has co-authored several published articles, scientific abstracts, and book chapters related to Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Levy is actively involved in IBD education, with a focus on improving patient education in underrepresented communities. He is also a member of the Patient Education Committee for the National Scientific Advisory Committee for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
