Hilary K. Michel, MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Director of the Medical Home and Transition Program within the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Michel attended Case Western Reserve University for her undergraduate education and completed medical school, general pediatric residency and pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Her clinical interests include general pediatric gastroenterology with a focus on the care of children and adolescents with IBD. Her research interests center around providing comprehensive care to children with IBD and their families, focusing on multidisciplinary care delivery and health-care transition. She also has a passion for medical education, directing the GI Fellow IBD curriculum at her institution and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows a variety of clinical, quality improvement and research projects.
