Dr. Simon Hong is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center of tthe Division of Gastroenterology at NYU Langone Health with clinical and research training in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and is a former graduate of the NYU Advanced IBD fellowship. His current research focus is on the overlap of inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatologic extra-intestinal manifestations, particularly axial and peripheral spondyloarthritis (SpA). Dr. Hong also performs intestinal ultrasound (IUS), a diagnostic modality that allows for real-time point-of-care disease activity, and leads the IUS clinical program at NYU Langone.
