Joel R. Rosh received an Honors Degree from Brown University and his Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. His postdoctoral training included an internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital of New York–Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He remained on faculty at Mount Sinai until 1994 when he moved to the Goryeb Children’s Hospital/Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ where he founded the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and the Pediatric IBD Center. In January, 2023, Dr. Rosh became the Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Liver Disease and Nutrition at The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York and Professor of Pediatrics at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
Dr. Rosh has served on the National Board of Trustees of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. He has been a National Councilor for NASPGHAN and has served on various editorial boards including that of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition; the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and Crohn's and Colitis 360. Dr. Rosh’s current research focus is the safety and efficacy of standard as well as emerging pharmacotherapy in Pediatric IBD
