Dan Barden serves as the Chief Clinical Officer at CODAC Health, Recovery & Wellness, Inc in Tucson, AZ. In this role he oversees three large clinics serving over 1,000 lives plus a number of smaller transitional housing programs and substance use Intensive Outpatient Programs. He also oversees the 24 hour per day/7 day per week Center of Excellence medication assisted treatment program in Tucson Arizona. He has master’s degree in Counseling and over 35 years’ experience in behavioral health. While the majority of his career was spent in rural behavioral health with a wide variety of duties including administrative and clinical oversight of a 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, residential substance abuse treatment programs, Day Programs for persons with Serious Mental Illness and standard and intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment programs for adolescents and adults, for the past 10+ years he has been part of the CODAC Health, Recovery and Wellness, Inc leadership team. In addition to oversight of the programs, he also is responsible for development of community collaborations including work with the Tucson Police Department, the Tucson Fire Department and the Pima County Adult Detention Center and numerous community hospitals to address the overdose crisis through developing collaborative interventions.
