Joanne Gonsalves, MSW, BA in Psychology, is an experienced clinical counselor with 25+ years of addiction treatment expertise. Holding a Master's degree in Social Work from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Joanne's qualifications are extensive. As Crossroads Centre's Clinical Director since 2017, they oversee the clinical department and Intensive Family Program. From 2008 to 2017, Joanne served as Lead Counselor and Family Program Coordinator, conducting therapy and coordinating workshops. From 2006 to 2008, they managed residential and outpatient treatment as Manager Lead Counselor at Crossroads Centre Bevon House, organizing the Family Program and Internship Program. As a Primary Counselor from 2000 to 2002, Joanne provided individual, group, and family therapy, participated in treatment team meetings, and offered case management services. They also held the position of Program Director at The Village Inc. (1998-2000), managing clinical services for dually diagnosed adolescent girls. Joanne's experience includes private practice and work as an Assessment Specialist at Columbia Behavioral Health Hospital. During their studies, Joanne completed internships at FEMA and Jackson Memorial Hospital, contributing to the Employee Assistance Program. With an unwavering commitment to helping individuals and families overcome addiction, Joanne's expertise as a clinical counselor continues to make a significant impact.
