Ryan Moy

Dr. Ryan Moy is a Gastrointestinal/Phase 1 medical oncologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He completed his MD and PhD in immunology at the University of Pennsylvania. He then pursued internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell and medical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He was recruited to the faculty at Columbia in 2021. Dr. Moy's clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with esophageal and gastric cancers, and he leads the esophagogastric cancer clinical trial program at Columbia. His laboratory uses patient-derived organoids and mouse models to develop novel combination targeted therapies and immunotherapies for gastric cancer and understand mechanisms underlying therapeutic resistance. His research and training have been supported by awards and grants from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Gastric Cancer Foundation, American Association for Cancer Research, and United States Department of Defense.
