Brooke Kempf began working as a Psychiatric Nurse at Hamilton Center, a community mental health center in Terre Haute, Indiana, upon graduation from Indiana State University Ms. Kempf was a trailblazer for future nurses as she developed medication monitoring services and injection clinics for individuals with serious mental illness. She excelled at providing nursing services to group home residents which led to het being awarded with the Hamilton Award for Outstanding Staff Member. Ms. Kempf obtained her master’s degree from the State University at Stony Brook of New York and is board Certified by the ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Kempf went on to hold additional positions at Hamilton Center as an Outpatient Nurse Practitioner and Chief Nursing Officer and completed her 29 year career ar the CMHC as the hospitalist for the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.
Ms. Kempf is an adjunct lecturer for IU Indianapolis PMHNP program, teaching Neuro-Psychopharmacology and acting as a clinical coordinator for students enrolled in the program and was awarded the 2022 Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty.
