Esther S.H. Kim, MD, MPH, RPVI is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at Atrium Health, Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, in Charlotte, NC. She received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and MPH degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and her cardiology and vascular medicine fellowships at Cleveland Clinic. She was Professor of Medicine in the division of Cardiovascular Medicine and medical director of the vascular laboratory at Vanderbilt University Medical Center prior to her recent move to Charlotte, NC, to become the Director of the Center for Women's Cardiovascular Health at Sanger HVI. Her specialty interests include uncommon arterial diseases, particularly fibromuscular dysplasia and spontaneous coronary artery dissection, and vascular ultrasound imaging. She is the Treasurer of the Society for Vascular Medicine, Vice-Chair of the Peripheral Vascular Council of the American Heart Association, and serves as a member on the Board of Directors for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Vascular Testing Division.
