Dr. Ghassan Bidaoui MD is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Tulane Research Innovation Arrhythmia and Discovery Institute, where he plays a leading role in advancing cardiovascular research. His work focuses on the intersection of clinical and translational science, particularly in arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation. Dr. Bidaoui is currently leading a cross-sectional trial evaluating the impact of obstructive sleep apnea on the development of atrial myopathy, utilizing advanced MRI techniques to assess atrial fibrosis and remodeling. In addition to this, he is overseeing a study investigating the role of cellular senescence in atrial fibrillation, employing porcine models to explore novel pathways and mechanisms that contribute to disease progression. His research also encompasses a comprehensive assessment of the determinants of quality of life and symptomatology in patients with atrial fibrillation, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through tailored therapeutic approaches.
