Western Atrial Fibrillation Symposium (Western AFib) is designed for electrophysiology lab professionals, including electrophysiologists, EP fellows, and EP allied professionals (nurses and technicians); cardiologists; physicians; nurse practitioners; physician assistants; and other clinicians interested in innovations in atrial fibrillation.

Learning Objectives

After participating in Western Atrial Fibrillation Symposium (Western AFib), participants should be able to:

  • Review the latest and currently developing knowledge of the critical issues around atrial fibrillation and related comorbidities and risks such as strokes, GI and gastroenterology involvement, and post-ablation bleeding
  • Facilitate a focus on new technologies, recent research findings, and new procedures available for improved patient care
  • Influence the development and use of procedures and treatments including but not limited to anti-fibrotic drugs, new EP techniques, and other pharmacologic agents
  • Stimulate consensus building on treatment choices for recurrent arrhythmias before and after ablation, mobile health applications, ablation techniques, mapping, and other current and developing technologies and interventions

Requirements for Credit

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations, and post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone or if your browser settings do not allow a new tab/window to open.  

Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the American Board of Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
