Stavros Stavrakis

Dr. Stavrakis is a clinical electrophysiologist and physician scientist at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He received his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Athens. He is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of Cardiovascular Research. His research has focused on autonomic modulation for the treatment of arrhythmias, in both animals and humans. He has published >150 papers over the last 10 years in prominent Cardiology journals, and has mentored numerous fellows and junior faculty. His current, NIH-funded work includes optimization of patient selection and stimulation parameters for autonomic modulation techniques.
