Dr. Suvranu (Shoey) Ganguli is Chief of Interventional Radiology at Boston Medical Center and Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology, with an added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology. His clinical interests include interventional oncology (tumor embolization and ablation), venous thromboembolic disease and trauma embolization.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, Dr. Ganguli earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis. He completed a residency in radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, both affiliated with Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. Before joining the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine in 2020, he served as Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Co-Director of the Center for Image Guided Cancer Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
Dr. Ganguli has participated in multiple clinical trials. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, as well as more than 25 textbook chapters. He has presented his work at more than 25 national professional meetings. He co-edited a textbook on Interventional Oncology. He is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and a founding member of the Society of Interventional Oncology.
