Professor Andrew W. Bradbury is the Sampson Gamgee Professor of Vascular Surgery, University of Birmingham, UK (since 2000). Andrew is an Honorary Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, UK (since 2000). Andrew was a Co-Editor of the Global Vascular Guidelines (GVG) on Chronic Limb Threatening Ischaemia (CLTI) and is the Chief Investigator of the UK NIHR HTA funded BASIL 2 and BASIL 3 trials. The BASIL-2 trial was published in the Lancet in April 2023. It is expected that the BASIL-3 trial will be published in April 2024
