Dr. Krista Roybal is a leading authority in integrative mental health care and addiction medicine. As Founder and Medical Director of True Life Center (located in UTC), she leads a multidisciplinary team in helping individuals within high-complexity family systems heal from anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and substance use. The innovative, attachment-based model of care she developed – Neurobiological Integration – has guided thousands of patients toward diagnostic clarity, nervous system regulation, and connection with their purpose, joy, and true expression.

Prior to True Life Center, Dr. Roybal worked at top hospitals including Scripps Memorial, where she served as Co-Medical Director of the Scripps Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program. She attended medical school at New York Medical College, with initial training at UC San Francisco in Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Roybal later chose to specialize in psychiatry, training under the nation’s foremost addiction experts at the University of New Mexico.
