Dan Davis DPM completed his undergraduate work at Bucknell University where he earned his B.S. in Biology and lettered four years in Track and Cross Country - serving as a team captain in each of those sports. He was All-East in 1974 and 1975, won the East Coast Conference Championship in Cross country, placed second at the IC4A championships, and placed 7th at the United States Track & Field Federation National Cross Country Championship race to become Bucknell University’s first All American in cross country. After graduating from Bucknell, Dan attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where he won awards in Biomechanics, Rheumatology, and Sports Medicine. He served as chief resident at Parkview Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and after residency, he was recruited to Connecticut where he has practiced for the past 42 years. He is a past president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and was elected to the American Podiatric Medical Association’s Board of Trustees in 2005. After serving on the Executive Board, he was elected President of the APMA ifrom 2015-2016. Dan practices in Bridgeport, CT with his partner, Denisa Riera DPM and is a key member of the Limb Salvage team at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He is a nationally renowned speaker in wound care and limb salvage techniques and has presented at the World Conference in Wound Care in Bremen, Germany. Dan is a certified high school soccer and basketball official and is a recent past president of IAABO Board 10 in CT. He lives with his wife, Mary Anne, and has four children, Russell, Jeremy, Natalie, and Douglas.
