Dr. McCulloch is a 1972 graduate of the the physical therapy program at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon graduation, he accepted a commission with the United States Public Health Service and served for eight years in New York City and New Orleans, LA. During this time, he obtained his Master's degree from New York University and his Doctorate from the University of New Orleans. Upon leaving the Public Health Service, Dr. McCulloch joined the faculty of LSU Health Sciences Center and became the inaugural chair of the Physical Therapy program in Shreveport, LA in 1981. In 2004, Dr. McCulloch was installed as the Dean of the School of Allied Health Professions where he served until his retirement in 2014. He presently serves as an adjunct faculty member for Rehab Essentials, Inc. where he teaches the integumentary unit for the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Montana. Dr. McCulloch has a long history in wound care practice and research, is a Certifed Wound Specialist (CWS) by the American Board of Wound Management, and is co-editor of the text Wound Healing: Alternatives in Management, 4th ed. In 2014, Dr. McCulloch received the Evonne Fowler Founder's Award from the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care.
