Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience in caring for those with vascular disease. Experienced in both Vascular Surgery and Vascular Interventional Radiology caring for patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings and first assisting in endovascular procedures and in the OR.
Previous co-chair for wellbeing committee for nearly 6,000 employees.
Past president of the Society for Vascular Nursing and recipient of the Jeanne E. Doyle Award. Member of the Society for Vascular Surgery collaborator on several projects. Member of Society for Vascular Medicine and a member of their Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Council. Member of the Society for Interventional Radiology NP/PA section and a member of their Clinical Practice Committee developing educational content.
Experience as book chapter reviewer, collaborator on practice guideline development, lectures on various vascular topics nationally, and has developed innovative educational tools and streamlined processes.
In addition, has over 20 years of nursing experience in Surgical Critical Care (open heart, burns, trauma) from a tertiary care, level 1 trauma hospital; during this time held many leadership positions and provided peer support and education. Part of groundbreaking educational programs in emergency preparedness including the development of our learning management system and integration of simulation for healthcare. Has worked with healthcare teams across health system and public service to streamline their education from in-classroom to online. Received a Medal of Merit for efforts.
