Britney Butt is a certified wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nursing specialist with experience in clinical practice, education, and research. She holds a Master of Clinical Science in Wound Healing from the University of Western Ontario and dual Canadian and American professional certifications, including WOCC(C) and CWOCN. With active nursing licenses in both Canada and the United States.

Currently serving as the Wound & Ostomy Care Coordinator at Keck Medicine of USC, Britney leads clinical initiatives focused on skin injury prevention, policy development, and enhancing patient outcomes. Prior to this, she worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at North York General Hospital for a decade, where she played a pivotal role in patient care, staff education, and policy implementation related to wound and ostomy management. As the former Program Development Coordinator Lead for the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Institute, Britney was instrumental in designing and modernizing advanced wound care education, including the Wound Debridement Program and the Skin Wellness Associated Program (SWAN). She has also provided consultancy and educational services through Derma Specialist Consultancy Inc.

Britney has served on expert panels, including the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, the Canadian Nurses Association Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Certification Exam Question Development Group and is a contributing author in the upcoming Canadian textbook for Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing.
