Intended Learners

This conference is designed for physicians, nursing professionals, physical therapists, researchers, scientists, podiatrists, and dietitians across all practice settings involved in wound healing or wound care issues. SAWC Spring | WHS provides attendees who study and treat wounds with state-of-the-art reviews of clinical problems and research information. 

Learning Objectives

After participating in SAWC Spring | WHS, participants should be able to: 

  • Improve patients’ lives through interdisciplinary and comprehensive care to prevent, treat, and manage patients with wounds, including chronic, complex, and difficult-to-heal wounds 
  • Enhance your practice by employing best-practice strategies, clinical pearls, and scientifically driven evidence-based guidelines for prevention and management of wounds 
  • Advance your service by better understanding reimbursement, quality measures, and the use of emerging and innovative wound healing technologies and modalities 
  • Appreciate clinical challenges and how to deal with them, including comorbidities, patient behavior, and drug interactions

HMP Education will be applying for pre-approval accreditation in several states. Please see a list of approved states below as it applies to this activity. If you practice in any other state, please consult its PT Board. 

The below list of pre-approved accreditation is current as of May 20, 2025. 

HMP Education is an approved provider of continuing education. This course is accepted for continuing education credit for physical therapists in Alabama, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, and Rhode Island, through reciprocity. Please retain your certificate of completion for verification with your licensing board. 

New York: HMP Education has been approved by the NY State Education Department, Office of Professions, as a sponsor of continuing education for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. Approval: August 1, 2025 - July 31, 2028.

Texas: This activity has been approved by the TPTA 20 continuing competence units (CCUs) for PTs and PTAs. Approval Number 80189TX; Expiration: April 1, 2027.

Requirements for Credit 

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations, as well as post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone, or if your browser settings do not allow for a new tab/window to open.  

Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the American Board of Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
